What is ‘Energy’? What Happens When Our Mind and Body are not in Balance?

Simply put, the human body is like a ‘living battery’ with its own energy source.  Our heart pumps away because of electrical impulses it receives and every living cell in our body calls on this energy to survive.  It has many different names, Bio-electricity, Chi, Prana and Ki to name a few.

Bio-electricity is the electric phenomena related to all living organisms, and it is this that enables migratory birds to travel great distances at the same time each year and enables the electric eel to generate large fields of current outside their bodies.

Energy runs via specific pathways in our bodies called Meridians, and this flow of Energy governs and regulates our brain, nerve, muscle, organ and hormone function.

However, these Energy flows are interrupted during times of emotional and mental stress, illness or injury.  And so a mere thought, something you have seen or heard, something you have eaten/keep eating, the atmosphere you live in, or the people we choose to be with on a daily basis, can all affect your energy, which can, in turn, affects our health and our wellbeing.

How Does Kinesiology Support our Energy Pathways?

The real goal of any Kinesiology ‘balance’ is to identify the bottom line cause of any imbalance and then resolve it.  The basic premise of kinesiology is that the body has its own healing energy and is doing its best to care of itself but sometimes needs a little help to achieve a balanced state.

It calls on tools from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and also modern western science, to restore the balance of energy in the body, so the body can heal itself naturally, as it is designed to do.

Energy imbalance may be manifesting outwardly as failure to achieve our personal goals, or enjoy good mental and physical health.  We may experience:

Pain, Stress, Anxiety, Muscular or Nervous disorders, Allergies, Nutritional deficiencies, Emotional problems, Learning and Behavioural difficulties, or Relationship problems.

Kinesiology is a way of talking directly to the body, to the mind, and to every part of you, via a process called muscle testing, without the conscious mind interfering.

When you’re in a balanced state it is far easier to access your own wisdom so you can make decisions from a place of clarity.
